Import Guide

...how you import in your country.

We are aware, that buing from another country and importing the merchandise, needs more basic information, than a naked price can give - especially if it is the first time.To make it easier for you, we wrote this small guide.
Note:

80% of Shipments are absolutely regular. This Guide is only to answere most of the questions, and for the ones who are new in www.

1.0 VAT (Value added Tax)

If you live in an European Community Country, you pay our VAT(19%), which is included in our default prices. If you own a valid EU-VAT Number, we are able to sell to you without VAT (price devided by 1,19).You can find out via your local tax-office how this import has to be handled in your country, . If you live outside European Community - for example in USA - you do not have to pay our VAT (price devided by 1,19). We provide in our pricelists by pull-down menue prices without VAT - and also, for your convinience in other common currencies then euro. These Prices in other currencies than Euro, are only for information, because exchange rates can change very fast. Our order-formular shows, when you place an order, all prices with VAT. You can be shure that we bill you according to your individual situation.

1.1 Companies with EU-VAT Number
See 1.0
Note: The order has to be on the exact company name, as we check, if the vat number and the company name fit together. If the name of the company is your family name, make an according note in "comment" please. You can check here, if your vat number is valid.

2.0 Currency

The Currency on our invoices is Euro. The charge on credit cards is made in EURO. The convertion - lets say to Canadian Dollars - is made by your credit card provider at daily rates - sometimes with an additional commission. To find out what the eventuel commission is, you have to call your Visa, Amexco, Mastercard or whatever office.

3.0 Exchange Rates

All daily exchange-rates can be found in:Money Converter

4.0 Shipping Cost

4.01 Weight of merchandise...how to find out

Some Sites of Manufacturers show a weight per item, or at least a picture, of which you can estimate the weight. If the desired Item is a large mixing board or a large home-keyboard (Yamaha CLP - Yamaha CVP for example) you have to calculate a heavy packing also.

4.1 Minimum Shipping Cost

Even the smallest pakage cost EUR 17.-(incl. VAT) So you have to consider if you really want to purchase an item of EUR 50.-

4.2 Shipping Cost up to 20 kg

Up to 20 kg can be shipped by German-Post, which is in countries, which are far away from us or small, the cheapest way. You have to considere that German Post is a little bit unfair in regard to the weight: 1,1 kilos count as 2 KG !( and so on)

4.3 Shipping Cost over 20 KG up to 70 KG

In most of the european countries we ship by UPS. If UPS is too expensive we use a regular forwarder. You can find out yourselves the weight - see - 4.01
If it is possible, to split an order into several packages, the shipping can be done of course also by Post. It is - also of course - depending on the individual size of the items how many packages have to be made.

4.4 Zone Identification of each Country and Tarifs

You find International shipping cost tabel.

4.5 Cost of Forwarder

If nothing else works, we have to use a forwarder. To put a European Ground-Trucking -Pricelist in this site would be too much useless effort. In this case you have to ask us by e-mail. But please ask exact with address and the desired merchandise for shipping cost. Global questions, like: How much is shipping to Brasil ? - cannot be answered !
You find World Forwarder Flight Rates up to 150 kg here.

4.6 Where does the travel of my shipment end..

Post ship's to 99,98% to the Post-Office in your town or next biggest town. UPS ships to 99.98% to your door. The Ground Forwarder ships 100% to your door. The Flight Forwarder ships to "next to your town airport which can clear Customs". Means, in Australia this can be far. What happens to the remaning percentages of Post and UPS, we do not know. Because in cases like that, you must live in a strange area.

4.7 UPS Surcharges

If you live far out on an Island or of any City, you have to accept a Surcharge, which is mostly EUR 18.-

4.8 Cost of Customs Clearing

In UPS shipping, cost of customs clearing is included (not Duty+VAT !) - which is reflected in a higher price than Post for example. In other cases it is up to you, to clear custom by yourselves, or hire an agent to do it for you, at your cost.

4.9 Insurance

Insurance is covered by us when shipping UPS and flight-forwarder, and included in shipping-cost up to a merchandise Value of EUR 7500.-. Exceeding Values on Request. For Post see here
